How Do I...Force Add a Course?
Force-Add is the procedure that allows students to enroll in classes that are already full to their planned capacity or that have restrictions which the students do not meet.
A class can be force-added in two instances:
- When the class capacity is full and the professor agrees to let you enroll.
- When the course has restrictions that you do not meet but the professor agrees to let you enroll.
In order to force-add a class you have to do the following:
- University Studies students should consult with their academic advisor. Check the University Studies homepage at the beginning of the semester for a full listing of instructions per department. Scroll down to find the listing for the future semester.
- Each college/department may have unique instructions, surveys, or critieria for force-adding. There is NO GUARANTEE students are granted a seat through the force-add process.
