What are your major/majors & minors?

My major is in Political Science, with a focus in Legal Studies and I have a minor in Psychology.

When entering Virginia Tech, what majors/themes were you considering?

When entering Virginia Tech the majors I was considering were Political Science, Health, Nutrition, Foods and Exercise, and something Business related.

How did you explore majors at Virginia Tech?

I explored majors at Virginia Tech by first being introduced to the variety of majors offered here at Virginia Tech by learning and listening in my Pathways to Success class. Mrs. Lauren Thomas was a huge help, along with the Peer Mentors, in making sure we didn't come into this university being narrow-minded and only being stuck to one or two majors, but making sure I had the understanding that there are a vast variety of majors available.

When did you declare your major? (end of freshmen year, sophomore year, etc.)

I declared my major at the end of my freshmen year right before the spring semester was over and summer break began.

Why do you love Virginia Tech?

I love Virginia Tech for the fact that you can go anywhere on campus and feel as though people care for you. Living up in Northern Virginia it was all about competition and being better than the person next to you. Here at Virginia Tech, we are all Hokies, and striving to graduate and leave our marks on the world.

Briefly describe your favorite moment at Virginia Tech

Without question, one of my favorite memories so far of Virginia Tech was my first Enter Sandman. I had no idea what to expect, I'd never watched Tech on tv and didn't know about Enter Sandman or Tech football traditions. Walking into the stadium before the game I felt a rush of enthusiasm and love. Once I got to my seat the love was confirmed as I looked around and saw everyone in their marron and orange. As soon as I saw the cadets lining up by the tunnel I knew something spectacular was going to happen. Soon everyone was chanting "LETS GO!!,"  "HOKIES!!," then everyone started clapping and then Enter Sandman began to play. I'm looking around and saw people screaming and jumping, it was just a contagious movement and I had no other choice but to jump to the beat and at that moment I was rushed with emotions and chills and I knew I made the right choice of coming to Virginia Tech.
